The goodnight an entire generation grew up with.

From 2007 to 2015, Goodnight, Little One closed VTV3’s evening at 21:00 as a three-to-five minute strip, six nights a week. Each episode carries exactly one story, one short game, one lesson and one goodnight. More than 3,500 of them went to air.

At that length there is no room to be either dull or preachy, so the show put its weight on character. Kính Hồng, the presenter every child in the country knew by name, worked alongside a rotating cast of child co-hosts. The animated regulars, Thỏ Láu, Heo Mập and Mèo Mimi, outlived the programme in the memory of the audience that grew up with them.

The title song outgrew the show altogether and became a bedtime standard in Vietnamese homes.
